Bayer and Sports
Bayer Sports Facilities
The history of the Bayer sports facilities is nearly as long as that of Bayer sport itself. When Bayer directors Dr. Carl Duisberg and Friedrich Bayer jun. received a petition from Wilhelm Hauschild, in which 170 members of the work force asked for them to help them in their sporting activities, they agreed to look for a suitable “playground” immediately. By the way the first “sports facility” was a former “storage room for medial products” that was situated in Leverkusen.
