The Herbert-Grünewald-Foundation

Prof. Dr. Herbert GrünewaldBayer AG created the “Herbert-Grünewald-Foundation for the promotion of sporting opportunities of disabled people” in 1981.
 
This occurred on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the former Bayer chairman of the board Dr Herbert Grünewald. The foundation was created on his initiative and Bayer donated 3 million German Marks to mark the founding.
 
It is the foundations goal is to promote and assist charities which – with the help of sports – have set themselves the goal of helping with the integration of disabled people.
