Luftsportclub Bayer Leverkusen e. V.
With 579 members (as at: 01.01.2008) the Aerial Sports Association Bayer Leverkusen is one of the biggest of its kind in Germany. The association ownes 12 soaring planes, 3 motor gliders, 6 motor planes, 7 hot air balloons as well as an ultra-light-plane. According to the Federal Department of Aviation (and the German Aero Club, DAEC) the association is an officially recognised and certified company of aeronautic competence.
This results in the associations ability to carry out itself large parts of the compulsory checks and maintenance services requiring expert knowledge. Responsibility for that lies with skilled and trained members of the association as well as with specially employed staff.
