Volleyball-ActionBayer women finish sixth
Two players from the United States and a middle blocker from the Netherlands were brought in to complete the 2007/2008 Bundesliga squad. US duo Kaleena Miller and Lindsay Piccolini and middle blocker Brecht Gijsbertsen, who previously played in the Dutch Ehrendivision, were the last three signing Bayer made.
 
They joined German internationals Maren Brinker, Donata Huebert, Nadja Schaus, Karla Borger, Jennifer Pettke, Julia Schlecht, youngster Saskia Leonhard and Noora Linnarinne from Finland. The side was coached by Dirk Sauermann and assistant coach Zhong Yu Zhou.
 
After successfully qualifying for the Bundesliga championship round Bayer managed to finish the 2007/2008 season in sixth place.
