TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen Ladies' Handball

Twelve-time German Champions (national record) and eight-time German Cup winners TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen are definitely one of the most renowned sides in the country. Bayer had their best spell between 1980 and 1987 when they won seven championships in eight seasons. The team around coach Renate Wolf came close to adding more championships to the impressive tally in the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons but suffered defeat in both finals. At the end of the 2007/08 season the Bayer women managed to secure third place and qualified for the European EHF Cup.
