RTHC Bayer Leverkusen Rowing

Coach Ralf Müller is faced with the task of working hard with Toni Seifert and Gregor Hauffe to bring them up to international standards so that the RTHC duo can continue to represent the club in the national team. Both athletes will compete at national and international regattas on a regular basis to improve their form.

Furthermore the club will concentrate on bringing forward talented rowers from the youth ranks. Ralf Müller will be assisted by two-time Olympic champion Stephan Volkert. Volkert joined the RTHC coaching staff after pulling the curtain on his own career.

Leading RTHC rowers Gregor Hauffe and Toni Seifert were impressive throughout 2006. The two Bayer rowers could not quite match the success of the past at the 2007 World Chmapionships in Munich in the German coxless fours but they did manage to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Peking. Hauffe and Seifert along with their team-mates Urs Käufer and Filip Adamski finished third in the B final (ninth overall).

Fabian Mimberg once again proved that RTHC are one of the leading clubs when it comes to bringing out young athletes at the regatta in Essen-Kupferdreh by securing wins for RTHC in the coxless pairs and the double pairs. Furthermore Ronja Dahms finished second in the singles.
