Table Tennis has been a constant fixture at SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen ever since 1953. It is the only club in the German Table Tennis Federation that could boast a Bundesliga team in both the women’s and the men’s league until 2003. In 2004 the club fielded a women's side both in the 1. and the 2. Bundesliga. In 2005 SC Bayer 05 withdrew from the first 1. Bundesliga and now play in the 2. Bundesliga. The men will continue to play in the Regionalliga (Third division).
