TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen as we know it today resulted from a merger in 1984 of the "Sportvereinigung Bayer 04 Leverkusen" and the "Turn- und Spielverein Bayer 04 Leverkusen". About 10,000 members pursue their various sports in 14 sections of the club. TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen is one of the biggest and most successful clubs in Germany.
